DEAD BOYS

SUICIDE. YOUNG MEN. THE NORTH EAST.

STUDIO MUIZ PRESENTS

DEAD BOYS is a documentary about suicide and young men in the North East of England.

It tells the stories of real people and real families who have lost sons, brothers, partners and friends. These are not statistics or case studies. They are ordinary men from our towns and streets, and the people left behind when they are gone.

The film looks at masculinity, silence and place. It asks why so many young men here feel unable to speak, and what happens when that silence turns fatal. It sits with grief, anger and unanswered questions, without trying to simplify or explain them away.

If you have been affected by suicide, if you are struggling, or if you recognise yourself in these stories, this project is for you too. DEAD BOYS is built on listening. By taking part, reading, or sharing your experience, you are helping break the silence that keeps these deaths invisible.

This is not an easy watch. But it is a necessary one.
